A deer got caught in the fence down below us close to the river and now, with all this heat and the buzzards, the stench is unreal!! I about gag everytime I go anywhere near that vicinity.
Well, the doggies seem to want to go over there and ROLL around in it!! My husband has had to go get them twice already and really scolded them heavily for that, of course their just being dogs ya know. So, we cannot let them loose until this thing has gone all the way.
And oscar will NOT keep out of the new plants! He keeps going and plucking them out and chewing on them. My husband has so many new plants, its like a nursery around here, and he is so into that stuff he gets very irritated with him. I just heard him yelling at him this morning about yet another plant. Poor oscar just never learns his lesson.

That must be awful. Hope something is done about it soon - either the buzzards finish it off ofr someone takes it away.

I don't have dogs but I have deer that are eating all my roses. I had about 25 lovely rose bushes, the deer have eaten every bud and most of the leaves. We are over-run with tame deer here. You can walk right up to them and even hand feed them, they don't even flinch. They are pretty, but annoying when they eat all the flowers! They don't move off the street for traffic either, they just walk slowly and make the cars slow down and wait for them to move. They think they own the neighborhood!

We have tons of them living around here and they have ruined several bushes up front so my husband got some kind of spray from the feed store that stinks like you don't what and since then they have stayed away.

I think most of the carcass is gone now but we caught oscar with a few remnants last night and got all over him about it.
