Wouldn't it be great if everything always went according to plan? If you always got your way? If everyone agreed with you? If you could easily have all the things you wanted? Wouldn't that be an ideal life?
As great as that might seem, the reality is that things do not always go according to plan, we don't always get our way, other people often think differently, and most things worth having are difficult to come by.
Is that so bad, though? I think not. If things always went according to plan, there would be no pleasant surprises. In fact, we'd likely get stuck in a rut. Some of the most delightful experiences come when we get sidetracked.
What can we learn from someone who always agrees with us? Not much. The varied opinions of others help us to grow in our own knowledge.
And the true value of anything is in the effort that goes into getting it. The things that come easy are usually of little value, regardless of what the price tag says. It's what you put into it that matters. The happiest people are not those who always get their way, but rather those who make the most of what they've been handed.

Ha ha - a Ralph Marston that I like today!

I do believe this - I was with a guy once who did everything I asked, agreed with everything I said, his opinions were whatever my opinions were - and you know I lost all respect for him and found him so boring? If I said I liked Nine Inch Nails, he liked them. If 5 minutes later I said I found them disgusting then he also found them disgusting - things like that. It was awful! He had no backbone and no mind of his own - so we split up.

I don't like extremes of anything very much - too much of a "yes man" is annoying, and so is a person who is always disagreeable no matter what.

I sure wouldn't complain if I had all the money I wanted though. Having money to pay for my expenses and buy some luxuries has never bored me or made me unhappy in any way lol!

Thanks for the post Kimmie.

I just KNEW I would have to FINALLY hit up on at least ONE you would favor!LOL.

Yes, I was once with a guy like that too and I, as well, became very bored and extremely irritated with it. It was like dating my own self! At first I liked it because here's this person going along with everything I say and do. Then it began to feel like a real sickness, like I might as well get rid of him and be happy with a dog.

I thought that same thing too before I met my husband. Now I seem to think totally opposite and can't stand to spend too much and always trying to conserve. When I had no money it seemed I wanted to do nothing but spend. Weird. I often wonder about billionaires out here, how they feel and what they do, then I start thinking well, they probably know how to save and manage money pretty well or they wouldn't have the money they do.
I wouldn't mind at all being a billionaire, can't even FATHOM how it would feel to have whatever money to do just whatever you want! Unreal!
