The "wonderful" gift I got from the children in my class at church...
So sorry to hear about the strep throat, it can be very nasty, I know, I've had it. If you take the meds you should start to feel much better in a day or so.
Really hope that you are back to feeling 100% very soon.
Take care of yourself, don't try and do too much, and drink lots of fluids.
Sorry about your strep throat, no fun. Nice gift! I got an amazing little "gift" of a really bad blister on my toe but it is getting better and rollerblading isn't as tough.
Take good care of yourself and hope you feel better soon!
Hey Tina, glad you're starting to feel better.
Rollerblading is SCARY if you don't know how to skate. I never learned to ice skate or roller skate (my family - not allowed to do ANYTHING but read Christian books)so the first time I tried rollerblading was last year. I can't do it unless my son holds my hand - otherwise I fall. I tried once on my own, didn't make it down the driveway without falling. I'm a klutz though - most people probably do better than I do! I like it when I go with my son and he holds my hand - then it is kind of fun!
Glad things are turning around for you.
I never tried until I first got these after the 1st of the year. But these are the ones like Cesar (dog whisperer) wears. The wheels are slanted outwards and really big and will go over any kind of pavement without getting thrown off balance. I've never tried the regular rollerblades. I got them because at that time we only had koko and she was still quite little and was getting bored a lot and wanting to chew things so I got them to get her to run along side me for exercise, not long after that I had my ba and was out for six wks and had to learn all over again.
It is fun and I can tell it has firmed up my rear and legs.
I was never a skater myself. Back when I first tried when I was about 7 I would go with my older sisters/brother and they could all skate. I would always be terrified because I couldn't seem to get the hang of it. I would have to stick to the rails and then there were always people standing around them so I would panic when I would have to let go of the rail and go around them and sometimes fall.
Finally I got a pair of skates for Christmas one year and started practicing at home but it never went anywhwere because I didn't really like it that much. Gymnastics was my thing and I excelled at it.
When I first got these I had to try and learn which wasn't easy at first. It really was scary and especially trying to teach the dog to not cross my path. I fell once because I was looking behind me and the skates went out from under me and I fell flat on my butt and back and skinned my hand. THAT was scary.
But these rollerblades are really neat, like Cesar's. I see him doing it with such ease.
