I bought the instruction book to Adobe Illustrator CS3 and am teaching myself how to design logo's.
I have always HATED to read because of my comprehension problem. In elem. school I was put in the lowest reading group. Seems as though whenever I read a paragraph and get to the end I have to go back to the beginning and read the sentences over at least 3 or 4 times to try and understand what they are saying and sometimes I become so frustrated with it that I just skip it and keep reading the rest without ever really understanding it from the beginning. I do the same thing in conversation, someone will be telling me something (and this is not everthing) and I don't always grasp what they're saying but am way too embarrased to say I don't understand, sometimes I do go ahead and ask them to repeat it, even twice, but still don't get it! But I just pretend like I understand because I will not ask a 3rd time and look like an idiot!
Anyway, I feel really good about this. I absolutely LOVE designing and this is a new passion that has been hidden. I just found it and its exciting! I am being able to follow along with this book and practice these things. I realize there is a lot to learn with this logo stuff but I am very eager to learn!!! So this, I feel, is a big success!!!
