I changed the clock over there to the smiley face because it takes me back to happy memories as a kid when there was a fad that came out with everything smiley faces on it. I remember having some things that had that on it and I always just loved it!
There was one point in my life that I remember I decided to just start making a habit of always smiling. Despite being raised in a family where everyone was so very negative all the time and despite the less than desirable situation I was in at the time I made the choice to just smile all the time. I remember the place where I worked, there was some people that started calling me smiley, that was actually my nickname! And now when I think back on it, I realize that it really is TRUE, You decide on HOW you want to feel at any moment despite your situation. That is truly amazing how that works. And the thing about it is at that time in my life I didn't even have a clue of all this self-awareness stuff I do now, never even thought about it, just CHOSE to make smiling a habit, and it actually DID make me feel better inside even though I didn't like the outside scenario.
