My husband will be leaving on Sunday for a trip to D.C. to do some missile defense work. He flies out Sunday evening, which unfortunately is Father's Day, and he will be home to us on Friday. Just pray for a safe trip for him, and pray for me that the time goes by quickly. I have my little girl, but it's just not the same without him here.
Continue to pray for Amy as well.
And, pray for me that I might be whatever I need to be to anyone who comes my way and has a need.
One last prayer...I am drawing portraits of my daughter for my father, father-in-law, and for my husband for Father's Day. PLEASE pray that God guides me to have these finished by Sunday...I have a lot of work to do, but I am just going to charcoal these, and not do them with oil paints, and that will save me a LOAD of time.
I am praying for you girls too!

So sorry your husband will not be there for Father's day.
I will definitely pray for him and you and daugther (what is her name?).
And Amy is still in my prayers too.
So you can draw/paint? I can only draw stick figures and even thats not that good!!

My little girl's name is Kayrie. Yes, unusual, but this is actually my grandfather's name, and when he found out we were expecting, he was SO excited.
I haven't had any lessons in drawing/painting, but I dabble with it. I have loved to draw and paint since I was a little girl. My mom and dad have a couple of my oil paintings hanging in their home, and I have done a few others as gifts. I have drawn several portraits of my little girl, but it takes me a long time, and I always look back and think of what I could have done differently or better. I actually don't draw or paint that frequently, but every now and again the urge hits me, and I will "art" something out, and that is usually a reminder of why I don't do it more frequently. It is enjoyable, but with a 4-year-old, it's just about impossible to attempt. Also, with my personality, I will work and work and work on ONE thing forever before I think that it's good enough, so time becomes a huge constraint.
Thank you for continuing to pray for us!
You know that you are also in my prayers, and I am continuing to pray for your mom. How is she doing?

That is such a unique sounding name, I guess you don't pronounce it like you're saying the name carrie? Its more like you're saying Kay (ree)?

My mom says she is still feeling tired, she has an appt. with her new cardiologist next week, so I guess they will be checking the valve then. I just wished she lived a lot closer to me, its hard for me to just get up and get there quickly if needed, takes too long in emergency situations. My husband is thinking ahead on making the guest house not only my place of business but wiring it up so that in case someone like my mom were to need to stay with us. I hate to say this, but she would be very stressful to live with and I would probably be very on edge but if it came down to her needing more help I would want her here for sure.

Thanks for your prayer!
