Overcoming feelings from the past

I have been struggling ever since I got re-married 2 1/2 years ago with my feelings toward my step-daughter. She is a teenager and, of course, there are all of the issues that come with that, but I pride myself in how I treat and love people. My problem is that her behavior and moods remind me so much of my ex-husband that my past reactions to him come out now. I get so frustrated, thinking, "wait a minute...I got OUT of that kind of relationship for a reason!" It's like walking on eggshells. Kimmie showed me some EFT stuff that has really helped. I guess I just needed to vent because she has been extemely moody this week. She is like a sad little porcupine that wants to be loved but if you come too close you get hurt! I'm trying my best and just ask for prayer to continue to show my love to her without going crazy!

I'll be praying for you and her, Sara. Keep using the EFT and if you want, I can make you up a self-hypnosis cd tailored to this problem, just let me know.

Love your little avatar picture!!

I will be praying for you! Teenageers are tough at all ages, and step-teenagers are even tougher.
